
Surrey County Councillor for Weybridge
Formerly CEO of the Parabis Group, a legal and professional services business employing over 2,500 staff with a national and international footprint, he has been extensively involved in driving operational delivery and business development. With strong leadership of a large number of acquisitions of businesses as well driving significant organic growth, Tim oversaw an increase of revenues at Parabis of forty-fold in 14 years. As a qualified solicitor and author of two legal text books, he was Entrepreneur of the Year Modern Law 2013 and Winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2014. The Leader of the Council has also held a number of non-executive roles on an unusually wide range of not-for-profit boards in charities, education and in local government.
Tim is actively involved in the Charity sector as a Vice President of Shooting Star Chase (Children’s Charity), as well as Chairman of trustees of Working Families Charity and Home Support Elmbridge. He is Chair of the Corporation at Esher College.
Currently representing Weybridge, Tim Oliver is the Leader of Surrey County Council and a former Leader of Elmbridge Borough Council. First elected to Elmbridge in 1999,Tim served Esher for 20 years until standing down in 2019. He was a County Councillor from 2005-9 and then re-elected in 2017 for the division of Weybridge.
